Ks. Angelika Kirchschlager
Julian Riem | Piano
The mezzo Angelika Kirchschlager, remembered for a sparkling recital in 2015, excites her public worldwide with her stylish interpretation and authenticity. In 2007 she was made the youngest Kammersängerin of the Vienna Staatsoper and is in addition an honorary member of the Royal Academy of Music, amongst countless other awards and nominations. She was a famous Oktavian in Der Rosenkavalier and is widely perceived as an exceptional interpreter of contemporary music. A special place in her life is dedicated to the recital and concert platforms and she is intent on breaking down inhibitions to classical music, appearing with artists like Konstantin Wecker and Rufus Wainwright. The sympathetic artist is much in demand as a teacher where she gives lessons at the Mozarteum in Salzburg as well as regular master classes elsewhere. From the 26th June to the 28th she will be instructing young singers in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The final concert takes place on June 29th.
